UP Mandates 'Use By Date' For Sweets

Uttar Pradesh will mandate displaying 'use by dates' on all sweets sold in the state. This new rule applies to both packaged and open sweets, aiming to protect consumer health and interests. Previously, only packaged sweets had this requirement. The Food Safety and Drug Administration Department decided to implement this after noticing a lack of clear expiry information for consumers. The use-by period for sweets can range from one day to 30 days, depending on their type and nature.

उत्तर प्रदेश में अब राज्य में बिकने वाली सभी मिठाइयों पर 'उपयोग की अंतिम तिथि' दिखाना ज़रूरी होगा। यह नया नियम पैकेट वाली और खुली दोनों तरह की मिठाइयों पर लागू होगा, जिसका मकसद ग्राहकों के स्वास्थ्य और हितों की रक्षा करना है। पहले यह ज़रूरत सिर्फ़ पैकेट वाली मिठाइयों के लिए थी। Food Safety and Drug Administration Department ने ग्राहकों के लिए एक्सपायरी की जानकारी की कमी को देखते हुए इसे लागू करने का फैसला किया है। मिठाइयों के लिए उपयोग की अंतिम तिथि, उनके प्रकार और प्रकृति के आधार पर एक दिन से लेकर 30 दिनों तक हो सकती है।
