Mumbai Airport and major airlines have agreed upon a strategic plan to relocate significant air traffic to Navi Mumbai. IndiGo, Air India, and Akasa Air have finalised their preparations to move international operations. This transition is expected to affect approximately three million passengers annually. The move aims to better manage increasing passenger volumes and alleviate congestion at the existing airport facilities.
