The Hindu · india

Mysuru MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar has urged the Karnataka government to establish a clear protocol for the Dasara rituals. He specifically called for defining which dignitaries are permitted to shower flower petals on the Goddess Chamundeshwari idol during Jamboo Savari and participate in the Nandi Dhwaja puja. Wadiyar noted the confusion during recent celebrations and suggested that a defined protocol would ensure smoother proceedings. He also proposed limiting the number of participants, stating the Chief Minister's presence might be sufficient as they represent the people.
