Days before his retirement, former Air Chief Marshal AP Singh wrote to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh urging him to keep the Indian Air Force's (IAF) sports complex land under its control. The over 40-acre parcel in New Delhi, which includes a golf course and swimming pool, was sealed by authorities under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Singh also met the minister to discuss the issue, citing the land's operational importance and its role in air station functioning.
