Arunachal Pradesh DGP Transferred Amid Protests Over Siang Project

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred Arunachal Pradesh Director General of Police Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal to Delhi. IPS officer Rajesh Kumar has been appointed as his successor. This administrative reshuffle comes amid ongoing protests and shutdowns in the Siang, Upper Siang, and East Siang districts. The demonstrations are related to the proposed Siang Upper Multipurpose Project (SUMP). The postings of the two 1995-batch AGMUT cadre IPS officers have been changed with immediate effect.

सियांग प्रोजेक्ट पर विरोध के बीच अरुणाचल प्रदेश के डीजीपी का तबादला दिल्ली भेजे गए शिव दर्शन सिंह जमवाल

केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय ने अरुणाचल प्रदेश के पुलिस महानिदेशक शिव दर्शन सिंह जमवाल को दिल्ली तबादला कर दिया है। उनकी जगह आईपीएस अधिकारी राजेश कुमार को नियुक्त किया गया है। यह प्रशासनिक फेरबदल सियांग, अपर सियांग और ईस्ट सियांग जिलों में चल रहे विरोध प्रदर्शनों और बंद के बीच हुआ है। ये प्रदर्शन प्रस्तावित सियांग अपर मल्टीपर्पस प्रोजेक्ट (SUMP) से संबंधित हैं। 1995 बैच के दो AGMUT कैडर आईपीएस अधिकारियों की पोस्टिंग तत्काल प्रभाव से बदल दी गई है।
