Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh sarcastically remarked on the US F-35 fighter jet, stating that American officials do not allow Indian personnel near the aircraft while discussing its sale to India. He made these comments in the presence of US Pacific Air Forces Commander General Kevin Schneider during a press conference at the 'Tarang Shakti-2026' exercise in Jodhpur. Air Chief Marshal Singh clarified that India has not received any official proposal from the US for the F-35's sale.

भारतीय वायु सेना प्रमुख एयर चीफ मार्शल एपी सिंह ने अमेरिकी F-35 लड़ाकू विमान पर व्यंग्यात्मक टिप्पणी की, कहा कि अमेरिका के अधिकारी भारत को इसकी बिक्री पर चर्चा करते समय भारतीय कर्मियों को विमान के पास नहीं जाने देते। उन्होंने ये टिप्पणियां जोधपुर में 'तरंग शक्ति-2026' अभ्यास के दौरान अमेरिकी पैसिफिक एयर फोर्सेज कमांडर जनरल केविन श्नाइडर की उपस्थिति में कीं। एयर चीफ मार्शल सिंह ने स्पष्ट किया कि भारत को F-35 की बिक्री के लिए अमेरिका से कोई आधिकारिक प्रस्ताव नहीं मिला है।
