Uttarakhand Minister Subodh Uniyal Denies Apologising to Daler Mehndi

Uttarakhand Minister Subodh Uniyal has stated there is no question of him apologising to singer Daler Mehndi following a public confrontation at the Kunjapuri Mela. Uniyal insisted he committed no crime and questioned why he should offer an apology. He argued that if Mehndi was unwell, he should have informed the audience or not performed. Uniyal also alleged that Mehndi was at fault for taking Rs. 26 lakh and failing to meet public expectations. This comes after Mika Singh’s team claimed Uniyal had apologised to Mehndi over the phone.

उत्तराखंड के मंत्री सुबोध उनियाल ने कहा है कि कुंजापुरी मेले में सार्वजनिक टकराव के बाद गायक दिलेर मेहंदी से माफी मांगने का कोई सवाल ही नहीं उठता। उनियाल ने जोर देकर कहा कि उन्होंने कोई अपराध नहीं किया है और सवाल किया कि उन्हें माफी क्यों मांगनी चाहिए। उन्होंने तर्क दिया कि अगर मेहंदी अस्वस्थ थे, तो उन्हें दर्शकों को सूचित करना चाहिए था या प्रदर्शन नहीं करना चाहिए था। उनियाल ने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि मेहंदी 26 लाख रुपये लेने और जनता की उम्मीदों पर खरा नहीं उतरने के लिए दोषी थे। यह तब हुआ जब मीका सिंह की टीम ने दावा किया कि उनियाल ने मेहंदी से फोन पर माफी मांगी थी।
