CBI Court Rejects Bail Plea of Former Panchkula MC Accounts Officer

A special CBI court in Panchkula has rejected the regular bail plea of Surinder Jain, the former senior accounts officer of the municipal corporation (MC). Jain was arrested in connection with an alleged Haryana government funds fraud. The court is investigating fraudulent debit entries totaling Rs 100 crore from the MC's account with IDFC First Bank, resulting in a net loss of Rs 79.5 crore after credit entries.

पंचकूला की एक विशेष सीबीआई अदालत ने नगर निगम (एमसी) के पूर्व वरिष्ठ लेखा अधिकारी सुरिंदर जैन की नियमित जमानत याचिका खारिज कर दी है। जैन को हरियाणा सरकार के फंड की कथित धोखाधड़ी के संबंध में गिरफ्तार किया गया था। अदालत आईडीएफसी फर्स्ट बैंक के साथ एमसी के खाते से 100 करोड़ रुपये के कुल धोखाधड़ी वाले डेबिट एंट्री की जांच कर रही है, जिससे क्रेडिट एंट्री के बाद 79.5 करोड़ रुपये का शुद्ध नुकसान हुआ है।
