The Central Information Commission (CIC) has recommended surprise inspections for schools affiliated with the CBSE to investigate allegations of dummy admissions. This comes after a complaint highlighted that students might be receiving certificates without attending classes. The CIC suggested these checks under the RTI Act to ensure schools comply with mandatory attendance rules and affiliation conditions. The commission also noted concerns about an RTI application being rejected on technical grounds, emphasizing the importance of facilitating information access.

केंद्रीय सूचना आयोग (CIC) ने सीबीएसई से संबद्ध स्कूलों में डमी एडमिशन के आरोपों की जांच के लिए अचानक निरीक्षण की सिफारिश की है। यह शिकायत के बाद आया है जिसमें बताया गया था कि छात्र कक्षाओं में उपस्थित हुए बिना प्रमाण पत्र प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। सीआईसी ने स्कूलों द्वारा अनिवार्य उपस्थिति नियमों और संबद्धता की शर्तों का पालन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए आरटीआई अधिनियम के तहत इन जांचों का सुझाव दिया। आयोग ने तकनीकी आधार पर आरटीआई आवेदन को अस्वीकार करने की चिंताओं पर भी ध्यान दिया, जिससे सूचना तक पहुंच को सुविधाजनक बनाने के महत्व पर जोर दिया गया।
