Chamarajanagar Residents Face Acute Water Scarcity, Receiving Supply Once Weekly
Times of India · india
Residents of Chamarajanagar town are experiencing severe drinking water shortages, with some wards receiving water only once a week. This irregular supply forces families to store water, raising concerns about hygiene and potential mosquito breeding. Despite numerous complaints to local officials, the situation has reportedly worsened, with residents blaming poor planning and inadequate monitoring. The town's water system, serving around 16,000 households, is strained by rapid urban expansion and population growth. Many are now forced to purchase water from private tankers at significant cost.
