Fresh elections for the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) are scheduled for November 25, following a court directive. The Srinagar court ordered the Sports Council to conduct these polls within three weeks to ensure the JKFA aligns with the AIFF constitution and the National Sports Governance Act. A consultative meeting involving stakeholders, including AIFF delegates and over 150 football representatives, was held on November 2 to discuss the election process. The elections are crucial for the long-overdue restructuring of the Union Territory's football governing body.

जम्मू और कश्मीर फुटबॉल एसोसिएशन (JKFA) के लिए 25 नवंबर को नए चुनाव होने वाले हैं, यह कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद तय हुआ है। श्रीनगर की अदालत ने स्पोर्ट्स काउंसिल को तीन हफ़्तों के अंदर ये चुनाव कराने का आदेश दिया है ताकि JKFA, AIFF के संविधान और राष्ट्रीय खेल शासन अधिनियम के अनुसार काम कर सके। चुनाव प्रक्रिया पर चर्चा के लिए 2 नवंबर को AIFF प्रतिनिधियों और 150 से ज़्यादा फुटबॉल प्रतिनिधियों सहित हितधारकों की एक सलाहकार बैठक हुई थी। ये चुनाव केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के फुटबॉल शासी निकाय के लंबे समय से रुके हुए पुनर्गठन के लिए बहुत ज़रूरी हैं।
