A tragic accident occurred near India Gate in Amritsar on Saturday morning when a two-year-old girl was crushed to death under the rear wheel of an 18-wheeler truck. The truck driver allegedly reversed the vehicle without checking, hitting an electric scooter carrying the child and her mother. The child's mother sustained minor injuries, but the toddler, Navpreet Kaur, died instantly. Eyewitnesses apprehended the truck driver at the scene. Police are investigating the incident further, with the child's father having lodged a complaint.

शनिवार सुबह अमृतसर में इंडिया गेट के पास एक दुखद हादसा हुआ, जब एक 18-पहियों वाले ट्रक के पिछले पहिये के नीचे कुचलकर 2 साल की बच्ची की मौत हो गई। ट्रक चालक ने कथित तौर पर वाहन को बिना जांचे पीछे किया, जिससे बच्चे और उसकी माँ को ले जा रही एक इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटर को टक्कर लग गई। बच्चे की माँ को मामूली चोटें आईं, लेकिन नवप्रीत कौर नाम की बच्ची की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों ने ट्रक चालक को घटनास्थल पर ही पकड़ लिया। पुलिस मामले की आगे जांच कर रही है, और बच्चे के पिता ने शिकायत दर्ज कराई है।
