एळमपल्लूर ग्राम पंचायत अपने सफल 'पोषकत्तोत्तम' न्यूट्री-गार्डन प्रोजेक्ट को आंगनवाड़ियों तक बढ़ा रही है, क्योंकि इसका स्थानीय स्कूलों में सकारात्मक प्रभाव पड़ा है। शुरुआत में चार स्कूलों में शुरू किए गए इस प्रोजेक्ट ने छात्रों को टमाटर और बीन्स जैसी सब्जियां उगाने के लिए गार्डनिंग किट और प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया। कृषि विभाग की एक योजना के तहत उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले फलों के पौधे भी वितरित किए गए। इस पहल का उद्देश्य बच्चों को सुरक्षित, पौष्टिक भोजन उपलब्ध कराना और उनमें खेती में रुचि पैदा करना है। दूसरे चरण में 10 आंगनवाड़ियों तक विस्तार, व्यापक पोषण और कृषि शिक्षा के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है।
