Telangana to Adopt PPP Model for Uninterrupted MRI Services in Govt Hospitals
The Hindu · india
The Telangana government plans to partner with private entities to operate MRI services in state-run hospitals, aiming to resolve frequent technical issues and maintenance disruptions. PPP model intends to make MRI services available at all Government General Hospitals within two years, starting with a pilot project in Mahabubnagar. Scans will remain free for patients referred by government doctors, even under private management. The initiative follows a study of models used in other states, including Tamil Nadu, to improve diagnostic facility access.
