The Congress party has urged voters in Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, and Manipur to express their outrage over rising inflation by defeating the BJP in upcoming Assembly elections. Jairam Ramesh highlighted a NABARD survey indicating rural households spend over 53% of their income on food due to inflation. He stated that under the Modi government, common people are trapped in a cycle of inflation and debt, with informal loan interest rates reaching 18.3%.

कांग्रेस पार्टी ने पंजाब, उत्तराखंड, उत्तर प्रदेश, गोवा और मणिपुर के वोटरों से कहा है कि वे आने वाले विधानसभा चुनावों में बीजेपी को हराकर बढ़ती महंगाई पर अपना गुस्सा जाहिर करें। जयराम रमेश ने एक NABARD सर्वे का हवाला दिया जिसमें बताया गया है कि महंगाई के कारण ग्रामीण परिवारों की आय का 53% से अधिक हिस्सा भोजन पर खर्च हो रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि मोदी सरकार के तहत आम लोग महंगाई और कर्ज के जाल में फंसे हुए हैं, जहां अनौपचारिक लोन पर ब्याज दरें 18.3% तक पहुंच गई हैं।
