MSRTC bus carrying 38 passengers experienced its front wheel detaching near Old Kaygaon on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred on the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar-Pune route when the hub shaft of the driver's side front tyre broke. Fortunately, all passengers, the driver, and the conductor escaped unhurt. The MSRTC has suspended two assistant technicians pending an inquiry into the maintenance lapse. Preliminary findings suggest inadequate lubrication and improper servicing of the wheel assembly.
