Centre Scrutinizes Doctors' Vacations at Delhi Govt Medical Colleges

The Union Health Ministry is reviewing summer and winter vacation policies for teaching doctors at three Delhi government medical colleges. An expert committee is collecting detailed records on faculty leave, patient care, and academic activities. The ministry seeks to understand if current vacation arrangements and academic leave policies impact patient services, teaching, and research. Institutions must provide data on faculty strength, leave durations, outpatient attendance, admissions, and surgeries. The committee will assess if a 50% faculty roster ensures uninterrupted patient care and teaching.

केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय दिल्ली के तीन सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेजों में पढ़ाने वाले डॉक्टरों की गर्मी और सर्दी की छुट्टियों की नीतियों की समीक्षा कर रहा है। एक विशेषज्ञ समिति शिक्षकों की छुट्टी, मरीज की देखभाल और शैक्षणिक गतिविधियों पर विस्तृत रिकॉर्ड इकट्ठा कर रही है। मंत्रालय यह समझना चाहता है कि क्या मौजूदा छुट्टियों की व्यवस्था और शैक्षणिक छुट्टी की नीतियां मरीज सेवाओं, पढ़ाने और शोध को प्रभावित करती हैं। संस्थानों को शिक्षकों की संख्या, छुट्टी की अवधि, ओपीडी में आने वाले मरीजों की संख्या, भर्ती और सर्जरी का डेटा देना होगा। समिति यह आकलन करेगी कि क्या 50% शिक्षकों की रोस्टर व्यवस्था मरीज की देखभाल और पढ़ाने में कोई बाधा नहीं आने देती है।
