Arizona Hit By Rare Storm With Golf Ball-Sized Hail

Hindustan Times · environment

A rare and severe storm struck northern and central Arizona, unleashing golf ball-sized hail and damaging winds. The hailstones, some measuring up to 3 inches across, caused significant damage to roofs, shattered windows, and dented cars. This event prompted the National Weather Service to issue multiple severe weather warnings and tornado watches, the first since October 2010. Additionally, strong winds toppled numerous trees in Coconino National Forest, and flash flooding was anticipated in the Phoenix area.
