State-run miner NMDC Ltd has commissioned a ₹5,427-crore integrated iron ore processing, slurry pipeline, and pellet-making project in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region. The project includes a new iron ore processing plant, a 15 MTPA slurry pipeline, and a 2 MTPA pellet plant. This 135-km pipeline will transport processed iron ore concentrate, reducing dependence on road and rail transport. The facilities will enhance NMDC's value chain capabilities, allowing for the processing of fines and slimes into pellets for steelmaking.

सरकारी खनन कंपनी NMDC Ltd ने छत्तीसगढ़ के बस्तर क्षेत्र में 5,427 करोड़ रुपये की एकीकृत लौह अयस्क प्रसंस्करण, स्लरी पाइपलाइन और पेलेट बनाने की परियोजना शुरू की है। इस परियोजना में एक नया लौह अयस्क प्रसंस्करण संयंत्र, 15 MTPA की स्लरी पाइपलाइन और 2 MTPA का पेलेट संयंत्र शामिल है। यह 135 किलोमीटर लंबी पाइपलाइन संसाधित लौह अयस्क सांद्रण को ले जाएगी, जिससे सड़क और रेल परिवहन पर निर्भरता कम होगी। ये सुविधाएं NMDC की मूल्य श्रृंखला क्षमताओं को बढ़ाएंगी, जिससे फाइन और स्लाइम को स्टील बनाने के लिए पेलेट में संसाधित किया जा सकेगा।
