Woman Fired For Faking Widowhood For Job

A woman in Jaipur, Rajasthan, has been accused of obtaining a government teaching job by falsely claiming to be a widow. Her second husband filed a complaint alleging she concealed her remarriage and a third child when applying for the position under the widow quota. She reportedly submitted an affidavit in June 2022 stating she had not remarried after her first husband's death.
