Punjab BJP Chief Calls DA Hike Notification Betrayal

Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon has termed the government's notification on an 8% dearness allowance (DA) hike a "betrayal of the employees." He questioned the notification's silence on pending DA installments and arrears, stating it only mentions DA from September 2026. Dhillon accused the Bhagwant Mann government of undermining employees' legal victories and pledged that the BJP would release the DA if they form the government in 2027.

पंजाब बीजेपी अध्यक्ष केवल सिंह ढिल्लों ने महंगाई भत्ते (DA) में 8% बढ़ोतरी की सरकारी अधिसूचना को "कर्मचारियों के साथ धोखा" बताया है। उन्होंने लंबित डीए किस्तों और बकाया पर अधिसूचना की चुप्पी पर सवाल उठाया, कहा कि इसमें केवल सितंबर 2026 से डीए का जिक्र है। ढिल्लों ने भगवंत मान सरकार पर कर्मचारियों की कानूनी जीत को कमजोर करने का आरोप लगाया और वादा किया कि 2027 में सरकार बनने पर बीजेपी डीए जारी करेगी।
