Protesters Block Bokaro Steel Plant Gates, Demand Jobs For Displaced Families

Job seekers from families affected by land acquisition for Bokaro Steel Plant have intensified their protest, blocking two plant gates and threatening to close five more. The indefinite hunger strike, led by Congress MLA Shwettaa Singh, is now in its sixth day. Protesters are demanding reinstatement of displaced apprentice trainees, restoration of reservation for Class IV jobs, and a clear employment policy for land losers. Bokaro DC Ajay Nath Jha has urged BSL management to hold talks and appealed to protesters to suspend the agitation during the festive season.

बोकारो स्टील प्लांट के लिए जमीन अधिग्रहण से प्रभावित परिवारों के नौकरी चाहने वालों ने अपना विरोध तेज कर दिया है, दो प्लांट गेटों को अवरुद्ध कर दिया है और पांच और को बंद करने की धमकी दी है। कांग्रेस विधायक श्वेता सिंह के नेतृत्व में अनिश्चितकालीन भूख हड़ताल अब छठे दिन में प्रवेश कर गई है। प्रदर्शनकारी विस्थापित अप्रेंटिस प्रशिक्षुओं की बहाली, क्लास IV नौकरियों के लिए आरक्षण की बहाली और भूमि खोने वालों के लिए एक स्पष्ट रोजगार नीति की मांग कर रहे हैं। बोकारो डीसी अजय नाथ झा ने BSL प्रबंधन से बातचीत करने का आग्रह किया है और प्रदर्शनकारियों से त्योहारी सीजन के दौरान आंदोलन निलंबित करने की अपील की है।
