ED seeks speedy trial in money laundering cases against Jagan Mohan Reddy

The Hindu · india

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a writ petition in the Telangana High Court seeking a speedy, day-to-day trial in money laundering cases against YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy and others. The agency cited prolonged delays in proceedings that have been pending for nearly a decade. The ED has filed nine prosecution complaints between 2016 and 2021, but cases remain at a preliminary stage with discharge petitions awaiting hearings. These investigations stem from CBI FIRs registered in 2011, alleging quid pro quo investments for government favours.
