As winter approaches, air pollution has surged across India, with several cities experiencing severe air quality. Meerut in Uttar Pradesh has recorded the highest AQI at 987, making it the most polluted city. Other cities like Hapur (877 AQI) and Panipat (842 AQI) also feature in the top three. The list of the ten most polluted cities includes multiple locations from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, with Delhi's AQI also reaching a concerning 589. This alarming pollution level, even before Diwali, poses significant health risks, particularly respiratory issues.
