This tradition attracts worshippers not only from Ghaziabad but also from Delhi and surrounding areas. The temple, approximately 45 to 50 years old, sees increased crowds on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Devotees undertake special vows, sometimes abstaining from grains for 40 days, to maintain the sacred lamp. Many return after their wishes, such as job attainment or having children, are granted.

गाजियाबाद के संजय नगर में दक्षिण मुखी हनुमान मंदिर आस्था का एक बड़ा केंद्र है, जहाँ ऐसी मान्यता है कि 40 दिनों तक लगातार घी का दीपक जलाने से भक्तों की मनोकामनाएं पूरी होती हैं। यह परंपरा न केवल गाजियाबाद बल्कि दिल्ली और आसपास के इलाकों से भी श्रद्धालुओं को आकर्षित करती है। लगभग 45 से 50 साल पुराना यह मंदिर मंगलवार और शनिवार को भक्तों की भीड़ से गुलजार रहता है। भक्त विशेष मन्नतें मांगते हैं, कभी-कभी पवित्र दीपक को जलता रखने के लिए 40 दिनों तक अनाज से परहेज भी करते हैं। नौकरी मिलने या संतान प्राप्ति जैसी मन्नतें पूरी होने के बाद कई लोग वापस लौटते हैं।
