Life-size Mahatma Gandhi Statue Unveiled at Ramgarh's Gandhi Chowk

A life-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi was unveiled at Gandhi Chowk in Ramgarh on Thursday, with public representatives, officials, and residents offering floral tributes. Gandhi had visited Ramgarh in 1940, and later, an urn containing his remains was brought there, leading to the naming of the chowk. Hazaribag MP Manish Jaiswal and other officials attended the ceremony. Speakers emphasized Gandhi's ideals of truth, cleanliness, and non-violence, urging attendees to carry forward his message. The district administration also observed Gandhi Jayanti as Swachhta Sankalp Divas.

रामगढ़ के गांधी चौक पर गुरुवार को महात्मा गांधी की जीवन-आकार की प्रतिमा का अनावरण किया गया, जिसमें जन प्रतिनिधियों, अधिकारियों और निवासियों ने पुष्पांजलि अर्पित की। गांधी 1940 में रामगढ़ आए थे, और बाद में उनके अवशेषों वाला एक कलश वहां लाया गया था, जिससे चौक का नामकरण हुआ। हजारीबाग के सांसद मनीष जायसवाल और अन्य अधिकारियों ने समारोह में भाग लिया। वक्ताओं ने सत्य, स्वच्छता और अहिंसा के गांधीवादी आदर्शों पर जोर दिया और उपस्थित लोगों से उनके संदेश को आगे बढ़ाने का आग्रह किया। जिला प्रशासन ने गांधी जयंती को स्वच्छता संकल्प दिवस के रूप में भी मनाया।
