India to Send 17 Athletes to Dakar 2026 Youth Olympics

India will participate in the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games with a contingent of 17 athletes, including 11 women, competing across 11 different sports. This marks India's smallest delegation to a Summer Youth Olympic Games. Prominent medal prospects include table tennis player Syndrela Das, Asian Under-17 badminton champion Tanvi Patri, and swimmer Dhinidhi Desinghu. The Games, scheduled from October 31 to November 13, 2026, will be held in Senegal and will be the first Olympic sporting event hosted in Africa.
