India's top young badminton players, Tanvi Patri and Shaina Manimuthu, will spearhead the national challenge at the BWF World Junior Championships 2026 in Cairo, Egypt. The tournament, featuring players under 19, begins on Monday, with singles competitions running from October 12 to 17. Tanvi Patri, the Asian U-17 champion, is seeded seventh, while silver medalist Shaina Manimuthu is seeded twelfth. India aims for its first junior world title since Saina Nehwal's victory in 2008, with Dev Ruparelia also a strong contender in the men's singles.
