Director Tomohisa Taguchi has expressed his feelings as the BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War anime project concludes after a seven-year journey. Taguchi revealed he was approached for the project around 2019, dedicating significant time to bringing Tite Kubo's manga arc to television. He noted that seeing Pierrot Films shift production focus to other projects has made the reality of the anime's end truly sink in. This conclusion marks a significant creative chapter for Taguchi and a major production for Pierrot Films, which launched as a dedicated branch in 2024.
