Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has raised concerns about the loyalty of senior bureaucrats, alleging that many officials plan to settle abroad. He claimed some officers have deliberately prepared for relocation while serving the country, with Portugal emerging as a destination for this alleged bureaucratic exodus. Asif questioned whether these officials, who have held important positions and enjoyed public service privileges, remain committed to Pakistan. He noted that an individual facilitating permanent residency arrangements for bureaucrats had fled after collecting substantial sums of money.

पाकिस्तान के रक्षा मंत्री ख्वाजा आसिफ ने वरिष्ठ नौकरशाहों की वफादारी पर चिंता जताई है। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया है कि कई अधिकारी विदेश में बसने की योजना बना रहे हैं। उन्होंने दावा किया कि कुछ अधिकारियों ने देश की सेवा करते हुए जानबूझकर स्थानांतरण की तैयारी की है, और पुर्तगाल इस कथित नौकरशाही पलायन के लिए एक गंतव्य के रूप में उभरा है। आसिफ ने सवाल उठाया कि क्या इन अधिकारियों, जिन्होंने महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर काम किया है और सार्वजनिक सेवा के विशेषाधिकारों का आनंद लिया है, वे पाकिस्तान के प्रति प्रतिबद्ध हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि नौकरशाहों के लिए स्थायी निवास की व्यवस्था की सुविधा देने वाले एक व्यक्ति ने बड़ी रकम वसूलने के बाद देश छोड़ दिया है।
