Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has appealed to financially capable and income tax-paying residents to voluntarily surrender their benefit of 125 units of free electricity. He stated that this decision would support the state's development efforts, as the government spends approximately Rs 23,000 crore annually on electricity subsidies. Choudhary made the appeal while inaugurating the Patliputra Rashtriya Yuva Sansad-2.0 in Patna. He also emphasized the crucial role of youth in strengthening democracy and nation-building.
