Tamil Nadu has recorded 16,334 dengue cases and nine deaths between and this year. The health department stated this rise is not abnormal compared to the same period last year, which saw 15,688 cases and 13 deaths. तमिलनाडु में इस साल अब तक डेंगू के 16,334 मामले सामने आए हैं और नौ लोगों की मौत हुई है। स्वास्थ्य विभाग का कहना है कि पिछले साल इसी अवधि में 15,688 मामले और 13 मौतें हुई थीं, इसलिए यह वृद्धि असामान्य नहीं है। अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, मानसून के दौरान मच्छरों के पनपने के अनुकूल माहौल बनने से मामलों में बढ़ोतरी हुई है। संक्रमण को रोकने के लिए राज्य भर में निवारक उपायों और निगरानी को तेज कर दिया गया है।
