Targeted curfews across France helped bring a quiet night following a weekend of riots and looting, according to Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu. Measures were introduced in parts of Paris, Marseille, Bordeaux, Nice, Lyon, and other northern towns, restricting movement and gatherings. Lecornu thanked police for enforcing the curfews, stating further decisions would be made based on necessity. Over 2,500 people have been arrested since the disorder began, with around 1,000 police officers injured.
