Asish Banerjee, a close aide of Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee, has been found dead at the Trinamool office. Banerjee previously served as deputy speaker during Mamata Banerjee's tenure as chief minister. He was a five-time MLA representing the Rampurhat constituency. His passing marks the loss of a significant figure within the Trinamool Congress party.
