Raj Thackeray Seeks Scrapping of Special Intensive Revision

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray has demanded the scrapping of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, calling it a new weapon for the BJP. He echoed his cousin Uddhav Thackeray's concerns, alleging the BJP leveraged individuals for power. Thackeray also called for elections using ballot papers and urged opposition unity to fight against alleged irregularities. He stated that the entire SIR process must be cancelled, an impartial inquiry conducted, and the process restarted, citing irregularities and Election Commissioners' own concerns.

महाराष्ट्र नवनिर्माण सेनेचे प्रमुख राज ठाकरे यांनी स्पेशल इंटेंसिव्ह रिव्हिजन (SIR) प्रक्रिया रद्द करण्याची मागणी केली आहे. ते म्हणाले की, ही भाजपसाठी नवी खेळी आहे. त्यांनी उद्धव ठाकरे यांच्या चिंतेशी सहमती दर्शवत आरोप केला की, भाजपने सत्तेसाठी व्यक्तींचा वापर केला. ठाकरे यांनी मतपत्रिकेने निवडणुका घेण्याची आणि कथित अनियमिततेविरुद्ध लढण्यासाठी विरोधी पक्षांना एकत्र येण्याचे आवाहन केले. त्यांनी संपूर्ण SIR प्रक्रिया रद्द करून निष्पक्ष चौकशीची मागणी केली.
