Morocco Election: PAM Wins Most Seats, Falls Short

Morocco's Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) has secured the most seats in the recent parliamentary elections, winning 97 out of 395. Despite this victory, PAM fell significantly short of the 198 seats needed for an outright majority. The monarchy-aligned party will now need to form a coalition with other parties to govern the country. Voter turnout was notably low at 38 percent, the second-lowest since 1999. The incoming government will manage significant investments as Morocco prepares to co-host the 2030 World Cup.
