The initiative, under the 'Mera Ghar-Mera Maan' scheme, aims to provide documentary proof of ownership for properties falling within the Lal Dora in Rakh Devidaspur village. The government launched this scheme to address difficulties residents faced in establishing property rights due to the absence of formal documents.

पंजाब के लोक निर्माण मंत्री हरभजन सिंह ईटीओ ने शनिवार को अमृतसर में 119 संपत्ति मालिकों को मालिकाना हक के कार्ड बांटे। 'मेरा घर-मेरा मान' योजना के तहत यह पहल रख देवास्पुर गांव में लाल डोरा के तहत आने वाली संपत्तियों के स्वामित्व का दस्तावेजी प्रमाण प्रदान करने के लिए है। सरकार ने इस योजना को इसलिए शुरू किया ताकि निवासियों को औपचारिक दस्तावेजों की कमी के कारण संपत्ति के अधिकार स्थापित करने में आने वाली कठिनाइयों को दूर किया जा सके।
