Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu and Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir met in Islamabad to discuss strengthening defence cooperation and institutional ties. This high-level engagement, the first by a Maldivian president in 11 years, focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and addressing regional security. Both nations signed 20 memorandums of understanding covering defence, maritime security, and artificial intelligence.
