The Hindu · india
The Indian Army successfully detected and defused five landmines along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. Officials reported that two mines were found by a patrol party on Saturday morning in the Basoni top area, with three more discovered in the same vicinity the previous day. The explosives were safely destroyed by the Army's Bomb Disposal Squad through controlled explosions, causing no damage. These landmines are part of an anti-infiltration system, but heavy rainfall can sometimes dislodge them, posing a risk.
