Telangana Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has urged officials to find practical solutions to Maharashtra's environmental and submergence concerns regarding the proposed Tummidihatti barrage. The project aims to increase the barrage's full reservoir level from 148 to 152 metres to enhance water storage and utilisation. Officials are tasked with preparing detailed maps to assess the exact extent of land and sensitive zones that would be submerged. Engineering modifications will be explored to minimise environmental impact while ensuring the project's irrigation goals are met for over 5.85 lakh acres.

तेलंगाना के सिंचाई मंत्री एन. उत्तम कुमार रेड्डी ने अधिकारियों से प्रस्तावित तुमिडीहट्टी बैराज को लेकर महाराष्ट्र की पर्यावरणीय और जलमग्नता संबंधी चिंताओं का व्यावहारिक समाधान खोजने का आग्रह किया है। इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य पानी के भंडारण और उपयोग को बढ़ाने के लिए बैराज के पूर्ण जलाशय स्तर को 148 से 152 मीटर तक बढ़ाना है। अधिकारियों को जलमग्न होने वाली भूमि और संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों के सटीक विस्तार का आकलन करने के लिए विस्तृत नक्शे तैयार करने का काम सौंपा गया है। परियोजना के 5.85 लाख एकड़ से अधिक के सिंचाई लक्ष्यों को पूरा करते हुए पर्यावरणीय प्रभाव को कम करने के लिए इंजीनियरिंग संशोधनों पर विचार किया जाएगा।
