Pune Housing Society Residents Question Civic Body Over Open Space Dispute

Residents of Yash Residency housing society in Bibwewadi, Pune, have approached the chief minister alleging the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is trying to take over an open space they have used for years. The PMC claims it took possession of the land in 1997 for a proposed road. Residents question how the building plan and conveyance were approved if the land already belonged to the civic body. They are concerned about safety and access, especially with heavy vehicles now using the area.

पुणे के बिबवेवाड़ी में यश रेजिडेंसी हाउसिंग सोसाइटी के बाशिंदों ने मुख्यमंत्री से शिकायत की है कि पुणे म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन (PMC) सालों से उनके इस्तेमाल की जा रही खुली जगह पर कब्जा करने की कोशिश कर रहा है। PMC का दावा है कि उसने 1997 में प्रस्तावित सड़क के लिए ज़मीन पर कब्ज़ा किया था। बाशिंदे सवाल कर रहे हैं कि अगर ज़मीन पहले से ही सिविक बॉडी की थी तो बिल्डिंग प्लान और कन्वेयंस कैसे मंज़ूर किए गए। उन्हें सुरक्षा और पहुँच को लेकर चिंता है, खासकर जब अब भारी वाहन उस इलाके का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं।
