PGIMER Urology Malpractice Probe Drags On Three Weeks After Panel Formed

An internal investigation at PGIMER into allegations of financial fraud, kickbacks, and medical negligence in the Advanced Urology Department remains pending three weeks after an inquiry panel was formed. The probe follows a complaint alleging patients were directed to a private lab for tests with a 50% commission kickback. This investigation is ongoing alongside earlier unresolved misconduct grievances against faculty in the same department. A PGIMER spokesperson stated the matter is under active consideration and appropriate action will be taken upon finalisation of findings.

पीजीआईएमईआर में एडवांस्ड यूरोलॉजी विभाग में वित्तीय धोखाधड़ी, किकबैक और मेडिकल लापरवाही के आरोपों की आंतरिक जांच, जांच पैनल के गठन के तीन हफ़्ते बाद भी लंबित है। यह जांच एक शिकायत के बाद शुरू हुई है जिसमें आरोप लगाया गया है कि मरीजों को 50% कमीशन किकबैक के लिए एक निजी लैब में जांच के लिए भेजा गया था। यह जांच उसी विभाग में फैकल्टी के खिलाफ पहले से अनसुलझे कदाचार की शिकायतों के साथ-साथ चल रही है। पीजीआईएमईआर के एक प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि मामला सक्रिय विचार के अधीन है और निष्कर्षों के अंतिम रूप दिए जाने पर उचित कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
