He emphasized that the rallies are intended to strengthen democratic institutions and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi against opposition tactics.

असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा ने घोषणा की है कि भाजपा 13 अक्टूबर से 31 अक्टूबर तक पूरे राज्य में जनसभाएं आयोजित करेगी। इन रैलियों का उद्देश्य लोकतंत्र को कमजोर करने, अवैध अप्रवासियों को बचाने और संवैधानिक संस्थाओं को ब्लैकमेल करने के कांग्रेस के कथित प्रयासों का मुकाबला करना है। सरमा ने कहा कि चुनाव आयोग और सुप्रीम कोर्ट जैसी संस्थाओं को निशाना बनाने वाली ऐसी चालें बर्दाश्त नहीं की जाएंगी। उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि रैलियों का उद्देश्य लोकतांत्रिक संस्थाओं को मजबूत करना और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को विपक्षी की चालों के खिलाफ समर्थन देना है।
