Movie Review: 'Clayface' Delivers R-Rated Revenge Thriller-Horror Romance

Hindustan Times · entertainment

Hollywood writer-producer James Gunn defended the creation of a 'Clayface' movie, arguing that not all films need to be explicitly requested. The resulting film is a surprisingly good R-rated revenge thriller-horror romance and body-horror origin story for a Batman villain. Directed by James Watkins, it stars Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, an actor whose face is disfigured by a mobster. He seeks salvation from Dr. Caitlyn Corr, played by Naomi Ackie, who injects him with an experimental nanotechnology serum.
