Former Union Minister E.M. Sudarsana Nachiappan Dies

Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister E.M. Sudarsana Nachiappan passed away in Sivaganga at the age of 79 after a brief illness. Nachiappan, a Congressman since 1969, served as the party whip in Parliament and was a Lok Sabha member for Sivaganga from 1999 to 2004. He later served as a Rajya Sabha member from 2004 to 2016 and as Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry from 2013 to 2014.
