ED Questions Azam Khan in Jail Over Jauhar Trust Fund Trail

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan inside Rampur jail on Tuesday as part of its investigation into alleged financial irregularities concerning Mohammad Ali Jauhar University and the Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust. A four-member ED team questioned Khan for over eight hours regarding the source of crores in donations, their transfer, and utilisation in construction. Investigators are examining financial transactions involving the trust, associated companies, and contractors to trace the flow and spending of funds.

प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) ने मंगलवार को रामपुर जेल में समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता आजम खान से मोहम्मद अली जौहर विश्वविद्यालय और मौलाना मोहम्मद अली जौहर ट्रस्ट से जुड़े कथित वित्तीय अनियमितताओं की जांच के तहत पूछताछ की। चार सदस्यीय ईडी टीम ने खान से आठ घंटे से अधिक समय तक दान की राशि के स्रोत, उसके हस्तांतरण और निर्माण में उपयोग के बारे में सवाल पूछे। जांचकर्ता ट्रस्ट, उससे जुड़ी कंपनियों और ठेकेदारों के बीच हुए वित्तीय लेन-देन की जांच कर रहे हैं ताकि धन के प्रवाह और खर्च का पता लगाया जा सके।
