Senior bureaucrat Prakash Rajpurohit has been appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner, serving until April 8, 2030. Vivek Khare, a 1996 batch Indian Telecom Service officer, will take on the role of Joint Secretary at the National Testing Agency. These appointments are part of a significant bureaucratic reshuffle approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. A total of 27 civil servants have been assigned positions at joint secretary and equivalent levels across various ministries and departments, including Home Affairs, Health and Family Welfare, and NITI Aayog.
