Marathi Film ‘Gondhal’ Re-released After Oscar Entry; Director Eyes Global Stage

Marathi psychological thriller ‘Gondhal’ has been re-released in theatres following its selection as India's official entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 99th Academy Awards. Director Santosh Davakhar stated the film was made to represent Indian cinema internationally, not to chase box office numbers. The team has been preparing for this opportunity for over a year, deliberately holding back the OTT release. Multiple screenings are planned in Los Angeles and other international locations to reach Academy voters, with the team expressing confidence in India's Oscar chances.
