CJP Flags 'Illegal' Detention of Ratna Singh Ahead of Jantar Mantar Protest

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has called the detention of its founder and leaders illegal, stating that legal affairs head Ratna Singh was held inside a car by police. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were detained upon arriving at Delhi airport. The party alleged Ratna Singh was surrounded by 35 police officers and the DCP. The protest was planned against chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar regarding electoral rolls revision.

कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) ने अपने संस्थापक और नेताओं की हिरासत को अवैध बताया है, और कहा है कि पुलिस ने कानूनी मामलों की प्रमुख रत्ना सिंह को एक कार में बिठाए रखा था। CJP के संस्थापक अभिजीत दीपके और नेता सौरभ दास और आशुतोष रांका को दिल्ली हवाई अड्डे पर उतरते ही हिरासत में ले लिया गया था। पार्टी ने आरोप लगाया कि रत्ना सिंह को 35 पुलिस अधिकारियों और DCP ने घेर लिया था। यह विरोध प्रदर्शन चुनावी रोल संशोधन के संबंध में मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार के खिलाफ आयोजित किया जाना था।
