A Florida sea captain, Lance Holmquist, has purchased Scotland's Carbisdale Castle for nearly £3.9 million after a three-year search. Known as the "Castle of Spite," it was built in 1907 following a family dispute and is rumoured to be haunted. Holmquist and his wife, Suzanne, plan to initially offer the castle for short-term stays before developing it into a boutique hotel. The castle's unique clock tower features faces on three sides, with one side left blank, adding to its folklore.
